Four days spent in the Great Rift Valley region of Kenya and in two different but ultimately awe-inspiring destinations. The safari will first take you to Nakuru, a city in the valley, known by tourists for the great Lake Nakuru National Park. The lake park has so much diversity in avian wildlife and is a haven for bird-watchers. The flamingos are the most recognisable when talking about the birds in Nakuru, but it is also known for pelicans who live by the shore always fishing. The park is home to monkeys, rhinos, zebras, Rothschild's giraffe and baboons, you stand a chance to see them all. The remaining days will be spent in the one and only Maasai Mara famous for its variety in mammals with over 80 different species to spot in the park but nothing outshines the big five (Bufallos, Rhinos, Elephants, Lions and Leopards) when it comes to the Mara. They are the most well-known animal inhabitants of the Maasai Mara National Reserve and for good reason. In the game drives you may see how the lions, interact with their prey and what happens when the prey on the wrong animal. At the end of the four days, you are sure to end your safari with a sense of wonder and awe.
You're in for a real treat when you visit Lake Nakuru National Park. It's one of the best places anywhere for seeing both black and white rhinos, but there are other highlights as well, including the possibility of seeing lions (some even climb trees here), leopards, flamingos and endangered Rothschild's giraffes. Rich birdlife, pretty acacia forests, and a towering escarpment overlooking the lake all add to the natural drama.
You will not stay long in Nakuru, you will depart in the morning after breakfast for Maasai through the famous Kenya’s food basket – Narok. You will arrive in just in time for lunch at AA Lodge who will provide your accommodation full board. After lunch, there will be a game drive around the Maasai Mara national reserve in search of the big five: lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos and buffalos.
