An average-length trip that will take you across the Kenyan part of the Great Rift valley to the most popular destinations that are sure to make your trip a memorable one. It will begin in Nakuru, a 3-hour drive away from the capital, Nairobi. You will get to visit the Lake Nakuru National Park, see the zebras and rhinos as they graze lazily around the lake. Lake Nakuru is known to attract a large number of flamingos due to the abundance of algae so much so that at certain moments it seems the lake is covered in a layer of pink from afar. Baboon rock is another explorer-favourite which boasts a magnificent cliffside view of Lake Nakuru. The next stop is Naivasha known for Lake Naivasha and its diversity in avian wildlife around Lake Naivasha. You may also choose to take a walk around the crescent island in the middle of the lake to unwind. Last and definitely not least, you will visit the iconic Maasai Mara home of beautiful dusks and dawns, many animals dot its expansive landscape. It is home to over 80 mammal species each with their own interesting way of surviving the wild. It is also known to be the home of great Maasai warriors who you may choose to pay a visit and get yourself a souvenir.
You're in for a real treat when you visit Lake Nakuru National Park. It's one of the best places anywhere for seeing both black and white rhinos, but there are other highlights as well, including the possibility of seeing lions (some even climb trees here), leopards, flamingos and endangered Rothschild's giraffes. Rich birdlife, pretty acacia forests, and a towering escarpment overlooking the lake all add to the natural drama.
You will depart for Naivasha after breakfast where you will get to see the Great Rift Valley on your way. You will check in to your hotel have your lunch then a boat ride in Lake Naivasha in the afternoon. Lake Naivasha is home to an assortment of avian wildlife which make for spectacular views.
You will not stay long in Naivasha, you will depart in the morning after breakfast for Maasai through the famous Kenya’s food basket – Narok. You will arrive in just in time for lunch at AA Lodge who will provide your accommodation full board. After lunch, there will be a game drive around the Maasai Mara national reserve in search of the big five: lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos and buffalos. Get to experience the various fauna and flora within the reserve.
After breakfast, a full day game drive with a picnic lunch in the reserve or morning-lunch at lodge-afternoon game drive will follow. With a full day spent in the Maasai Mara game reserve, you are sure to see a variety of different animal species the Mara is known for as well as experience the beauty of the Mara.
You will have your breakfast then depart for Nairobi for drop-off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or at your preferred drop off point.
