A perfect journey for those with an adventure's spirit where you get to spend two nights in Maasai Mara a night in Nakuru and another two in Amboseli. The safari begins with a bang as you get to visit Maasai Mara first where you will get to experience the wildlife hunt and be hunted across the plains. You will have multiple photo-ops as the landscape is known for its picturesque views especially at dusk and dawn. Next stop will be Nakuru where you will spend the night as well as visit the great Lake Nakuru National Park to see the diverse avian and mammalian wildlife that inhabit the park before moving on to Amboseli the next day. Amboseli has a relaxing aura about it with the still silhouette of the Kilimanjaro poking on the horizon as animals like elephants, antelopes and gazelles graze lazily in the plain. There are big cats to look out for though, leopards and lions are not a rare sight in Amboseli a last chance to catch a little bit of action before the safari comes to a close.
You will be picked up from airport and depart for Maasai Mara. You will arrive at lunch time as it takes nearly 4-6 hours to get to the Mara for Nairobi. You will arrive at your accommodation, check in and have your lunch. After you have had your lunch, the five of you will head out into the reserve for a game drive in search of the big five, and to see the animals that live there.
The next day you will have your breakfast and then full day game drive with a picnic lunch inside the reserve or morning and evening game drives. Having spent a full day in the Maasai Mara game reserve, you are sure to see a variety of different animal species as well as experience the beauty of the Mara.
You're in for a real treat when you visit Lake Nakuru National Park. It's one of the best places anywhere for seeing both black and white rhinos, but there are other highlights as well, including the possibility of seeing lions (some even climb trees here), leopards, flamingos and endangered Rothschild's giraffes. Rich birdlife, pretty acacia forests, and a towering escarpment overlooking the lake all add to the natural drama.
You will be picked up from Nairobi and driven to Amboseli. Accommodation will be provided by AA Amboseli lodge full board. After you have had lunch, an afternoon game drive will follow. Amboseli is popular not only because of the breathtaking views of the Kilimanjaro just about its horizon, but also because of the herds of elephants that call it their home.
After breakfast, you will have a full day game drive with a picnic in the park or an early morning game drive / evening game drive around Amboseli in search of big herds of elephants, prides of lions, cheetahs etc. Amboseli is also famous for avian wildlife.
After breakfast you will depart for Nairobi for drop-off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or at your preferred drop-off point.
